.125" x 48" x 48" Fiberglass PW3/Honeycomb Panel
ACP’s Fiberglass 3 Ply / Honeycomb Sandwich Panels are manufactured by bonding two layers of 8 oz. 8-harness satin weave fiberglass prepreg to each side of a .125” thick, 3/16” cell, 2 PCF aramid honeycomb core. The increased layers of fiberglass result in a more rigid structure when compared to the single ply. They are cured with high temperature and under pressure, resulting in fully consolidated fiberglass skins that are completely bonded to the aramid honeycomb core. They are ideal for applications requiring flat, lightweight and rigid specifications.
Separating the fiberglass skins with an aramid honeycomb core delivers greater strength properties than those of the skins alone. The fiberglass skins offer high strength, moderate tensile strength and compressive strength, dimensional stability, design flexibility and excellent electrical resistivity. By using a self-adhesive fiberglass prepreg, the cells of the honeycomb core will not fill with resin, thereby insuring the constructed panel will not retain excess resin weight.
The lightweight, high strength aramid honeycomb delivers higher compressive strength and lower densities when compared to our balsa and foam cores. The aramid honeycomb core is manufactured with high bondable properties to insure that the structural integrity of the panel remains intact. To increase the stiffness of the constructed panel, a thicker core can be used without substantially increasing the weight and cost of the final product.

Please note: All data to be used as a guide only; not a specification.
- If delamination occurs skins may be re-bonded using any structural adhesive, such as slow set cyanoacrylate (CA) glue or 5 minute epoxy adhesive.
- Sandwich panels can be cut with a cut off wheel or a Tungsten Carbide Saber Saw. Do not cut with a band saw.

Due to size restrictions, 48" x 48" sizes require custom packaging and may have to ship via freight services. A $30.00 handling fee will apply and will automatically be added to the order. Final shipping charges will not be available at the time of ordering. A quote can be requested or shipping charges can be automatically billed at the time of shipment.
Products sold as a clearance may be excess inventory that does not meet the stringent specifications of medical or aerospace applications, have blemishes and/or other imperfections as noted in the product descriptions. These items are sold "As Is", are nonrefundable and will not be backordered.
