The Relief Valve is a valve used to control or limit the pressure in a system. It is pre-set to open at 10" Hg and close at approx. 8" Hg. When the set pressure is exceeded, the relief valve becomes the "path of least resistance" as the valve is forced open and a portion of the air is diverted through the auxiliary route. Once it reaches the valve's reseating pressure, the valve will close.
It accepts the 1/4"OD Neoprene Tubing and is ideal for use when vacuum bagging foam to prevent crushing of the foam if the vacuum switch fails to turn.
