Rotary Vane Vacuum Pumps

Dry rotary vane pumps are oil-free vacuum pumps that are great option for higher volume and medium vacuum level. They can run continuously, are easy to repair, and very low maintenance. They work by using positive displacement. A series of vanes are mounted within a rotor and when in operation, the vanes slide in and out, creating a seal around the cavity or chamber, and allowing a series of smaller chambers to form within the larger chamber. Rotary vane pumps never experience internal metal-to-metal contact, so they can self-compensate for wear. As a result, they maintain peak performance longer and are a popular choice due to their lower maintenance requirements. A rotary vane pump can be used for either vacuum or pressure, and sometimes both.
