3.5oz, 1K Carbon Fiber Plain Weave Fabric
Details
Description
The 3.5 oz. Carbon Fiber is a light-weight plain weave fabric woven from 1K carbon strands (tow). It is a pliable, tight weave fabric that is most effective in applications where lightweight strength is critical or the part needs to be rigid and thin.
It offers superior wet-out capability because it is sized with a coupling agent that provides a chemical bond between the carbon fiber and various resins. It is suitable for use in wet layup, vacuum bagging and resin infusion manufacturing and is compatible with polyester, vinyl-ester and epoxy resins.
